The Treatment Plan Explained

Assessment

Every person in the world is completely different, and as such everyone’s experience in healthcare should be tailored differently too. A wide range of factors make us different including our mobility, activity levels, stress levels, occupation, family/friend support, genetics, fears and past experiences to name a few.

When completing our assessment, all of these factors are considered in how they may have contributed to your injury/discomfort and how we may be able to alter their impact going forward.

We then use a system aimed at assessing your mobility to determine a plan for treatment.

Treatment

We use a range of techniques from gentle stretches and exercises, hands-on massage therapy with movement, breathing techniques and high-velocity low-amplitude (HVLA) techniques (often referred to as ‘manipulations’ or ‘adjustments’).

These techniques are utilised to help relieve some of the painful or uncomfortable symptoms you arrived with, and allow us to begin to move again and focus on the crucial active rehabilitation stage.

Rehab/Advice

After assessing your body’s response to treatment and your past medical history, we can begin to create a plan to help you return to exercise and help you become stronger and more resilient than ever.

Usually we will send you away with some videos of certain exercises which will help mobilise or strengthen your body and help create change in the form of recovery/prevention which is longer lasting than any manual practitioner can achieve alone.

Support

One of the biggest issues with healthcare is the lack of communication and understanding between the practitioner and the patient, and by providing continued education and communication, we create a relationship that is able to adapt to any new circumstances which may arise throughout your life.

Feel comfortable knowing your practitioner actually cares about your goals and your lifestyle and wants to do everything possible to maximise your quality of life.
